Elite Warranty Coverage Plan Add-Ons
The Standard and Premium Elite Warranty plans have add-on options that expand coverage within certain limits.
Here are some upgrades you can add to the Standard Coverage plan:
- Air Conditioning: This includes the compressor, the compressor clutch, and clutch bearing. It doesn’t cover air conditioner evacuation or recharge.
- Lifted Vehicle: This add-on is required if the extended warranty is for vehicles with oversized tires or a lift kit.
- Standard Plus: This adds a few components to the plan like the alternator, cylinder head gaskets, and fuel pump. It also increases roadside assistance limits to cover the full term of the warranty. Diesel vehicles are covered under Standard Plus automatically.
The Premium Coverage plan also offers an optional add-on for lifted vehicle coverage. If you want a bit more coverage, you can go for the Premium Plus plan, which adds brake parts and more electrical components to the extended warranty. It also covers up to $40 per day for six days of rental reimbursement per repair, and it extends roadside assistance for the whole contract.
Elite Warranty Basics Coverage
Elite Warranty also offers a plan called The Basics, which offers coverage for external vehicle components not included in the three main plans:
- Windshield repair (not available in Kansas)
- Paintless dent repair
- Tire & wheel (rim) road hazard coverage

Elite Warranty Benefits
Standard and Premium Coverage come with 12 months or 12,000 miles of 24/7 roadside assistance. You can upgrade for more roadside assistance, but compared to competitors’ offerings, that’s not very impressive. For example, Toyota offers the shortest period of roadside assistance with its new cars, but even that lasts for 2 years or 24,000 miles–twice Elite Warranty’s standard offering.
Elite Warranty’s roadside assistance also isn’t as comprehensive as other programs on the market. It includes towing, jump start, and lockout assistance. You can get emergency gas, but you’ll be charged a service fee. Also, the flat tire service only includes assistance in installing a spare tire you already own.
What Does Elite Warranty Not Cover?
Although Elite Warranty offers a comprehensive or bumper-to-bumper warranty plan, even the company’s highest level of comprehensive coverage will have exclusions. Like many warranty providers, Elite Warranty does not offer coverage for the following items:
